2017 Subaru Forester is building on the strong reputation developed by the previous-generation models over the years for all-conditions performance. A refresh to the 2017 model reinforces responsible engineering by updating the car looks, adding more tech, and giving you a quieter interior.
Performance and Handling
2017 powertrain revisions have brought improved fuel consumption that now achieves an EPA fuel economy rating of 28 mpg combined compared to the outgoing model’s combined of 27 mpg. The 2017 Forester’s quicker gear ratio gives you better response and handling. Now standard on all Touring, Premium, and Limited models is Subaru’s X-Mode traction assist system.
The 2017 2.5i Forester base model brings you the 6.2″ Multimedia STARLINK system. The best thing about this feature is the single-touch gesture 6.2-inch display. The other trims give you the 7.0″ STARLINK on a 7-inch high-resolution LCD screen.
Driver Assistance Features
The outgoing Forester lacked several functions which are now available on the newer Subaru models like the Legacy and Outback. The 2017 model has been updated with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping assist as well as blind-spot detection. EyeSight, Subaru’s active safety suite is now available as an option except for the Forester base 2.5i trim. EyeSight technology employs two cameras to study the road ahead and provides adaptive cruise control as well as emergency braking.
You can choose between the 2.5-liter four cylinder 170-horsepower and the turbo four 50-horsepower 2.0-liter 2017 Forester from any of the Subaru dealerships serving Biloxi, MS.
